About

Hi, my name is Lindsay Coney and I’m a psychology student. I have been fascinated by human behaviour all my life and thats what lead me to study psychology at college. After chatting with my friend I decided to put my observations into a blog after she suggested that people might benefit from it.

I am particularly interested in behavioural psychology and social psychology: behavioral psychology or behaviourism, is based on the idea that all behaviors are learned through conditioning. It involves analysing and examining a persons behaviour and if necessary providing therapy to address and/or correct any negative behaviours.

Social psychology can be defined as “the branch of psychology that deals with social interactions, including their origins and their effects on the individual”. It focuses on the relationships that we form and how we form them as they are crucial to living a healthy, full life – however, the ability to form relationships is not hardwired into our brain, it is a skill that must be learned and if there are poor relationships in youth it can lead to adults becoming maladjusted in later years.

I have tried to group my posts into relevant categories so that it is easier to navigate and find posts that readers may find useful.

I hope you find them useful
